Abstract
This study was conducted in the lower basin of the Comoé River from June 2014 to May 2017. It provides information on length-weight relationship and condition factor (K) of thirty (30) most consumed fish species. The coefficient b ranged from 2.33 to 3.77 while the condition factor (K) ranged 0.50 ± 0.05 to 4.52 ± 0.74. Except for Distichodus rostratus and Mugil cephalus (b = 3), the Student’s t-test indicated a significant difference between the other values of b and 3 (p < 0.05). The growth was not in favour of the body weight but in favour of the length (b < 3, negative allometric growth) for the major fish species.
